Závodný gallery is a private art gallery located in the historic heart of Mikulov. Its creation was preceded by several years of work on the art collection as well as several studies in the field of visual arts. Following its opening, in 2011, the gallery building was awarded by the Grand Prix of Architects.

The vision of Závodný gallery is to create an international open space which will represent the works of worldwide known and respected artists. Artists who have marked the development of European art of the 20th and 21st centuries and who have contributed to its breath-taking story, many of which are being introduced to the Czech Republic for the very first time. Our exhibition program is based on solo exhibitions of top Czech and foreign artists as well as Czech artist living in exile. Represented artist and their works stand out for their quality and uniqueness. The gallery collection is specialized on geometric and minimalist artworks.

A large part of the exhibited works is offered for sale. This opens an opportunity for institutions and private collectors to add to their collections and rank among the world's best standards. Závodný gallery also supports art lovers and collector's beginners their entrance into the world of „ modern arts ". We offer consultancy on purchases, development and management of private art collections. We provide services in price estimation of individual pieces as well as entire collections and help prepare them for subsequent sale. The gallery possesses an extensive artwork collection which may serve as a guidance/ reference while working on the concept of a private collection. In collaboration with architectural studios, we are helping to find artwork suitable for private interiors as well as administrative buildings.

Our gallery is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Regular visitors as well as passing tourists can relax in the coffee shop which is part of the gallery and browse through collection of artistic monographs and architectural handbooks.
